A native of Portland, IN, Smith arrived on the AU campus the fall of 2001. She was a four-time ALL HCAC honoree. In her senior season Smith earned the HCAC Tournament Individual Champion title when she defeated her opponent on the first hole of a sudden death playoff. With this win Smith was the first ever AU women’s golfer to qualify for the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championships, held just outside of Pinehurst, North Carolina, in the spring of 2005.

Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from AU.
